Habitat for Humanity Builders Blitz
JF and John III have built houses for the Habitat for Humanity Builders Blitz since it started in Omaha. John III has chaired the event for the past eight years organizing 8-10 general contractor companies in the construction of a block of single family homes. We are proud to say that despite our size, McLeay Building Company has built homes right alongside the construction giants every year since we were founded.
St Wenceslaus STREAM Lab
Our biggest Gift yet; we couldn't be more Proud of the new St. Wenceslaus STREAM Lab [Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, Math] we Designed, Built and Donated this past year. It is an enormous blessing to be able to Build a new classroom specifically for Future Builders.
Nelson Mandela Elementary School
McLeay Building Co. has maintained a long relationship with the Nelson Mandela School both professionally and philanthropically.
Holy Family Community Center
For the several years McLeay Building Co. has been able to help the Holy Family Community Center in a variety of ways. Last year with the trim work throughout the main floor, and this year with their kitchen remodel [in progress].
In previous years we've donated backpack survival kits complete with tents, sleeping bags, undergarments and warm clothing, food gift cards, and hygiene products. These were given specifically to those in most need by Bruce the director of Holy Family at the time.
The blizzard of 2024 reminded us of the need to help and we donated a 'Truckload' of Hats, Gloves, Socks, Jeans, and Coats to their 'Closet Door'.
